A Change of Pace: Photographing IRONMAN Knokke 2026

After almost 20,000 km of client projects across Europe, a change of pace: photographing the running action at IRONMAN Knokke 2026 with my Nikon Z8 and Tamron 35–150mm.

Time flies, and I’ve only just realized I haven’t posted an update since spring! Since then, I’ve covered almost 20,000 km, travelling through the Netherlands, Germany and Sweden, with photography and client projects taking me along the way.

Most recently, I photographed the running section at IRONMAN Knokke 2026. The weather was ideal, if a little hot! This time, I used the Nikon Z8 with the Tamron 35–150mm – a combination that worked very well. Although the lens has no built-in stabilization, the Z8’s in-body stabilization was sufficient for this shoot.

Here are a few photographs from the event – a change of pace from my usual architecture, interiors/exteriors, food and OOH/DOOH shoots. This time, the subjects definitely weren’t standing still!
