When I volunteered at Sapica Animal Rescue in Zaprešić, I met dogs who carried the weight of forgotten years – some old, some young, all waiting. Through my camera, I tried to capture more than faces; I wanted to show their spirit. Each scar, each tilted head, each hesitant wag tells of hope reborn.
They may not have had an easy start, but their eyes speak of forgiveness and quiet strength. I believe photography can help them be seen – truly seen – by the people meant to bring them home.
