Human eyes are far superior to any (or at least most of the) photo lenses/photo cameras. This is simply because our eyes are capable of registering more details in shadow and highlight areas. Even the best photo equipment today will rarely produce the same effect with just one shot.
This is why professional real-estate photographers usually take at least three different shots of the same spot. One with “normal” exposure, one under-exposed and one over-exposed.
This then helps creating a new, final image in post-production, which will then provide much better representation of the real estate interiors or exteriors. Something that will look more natural for our eyes. (If it is not overdone, of course :))
